SnapGlass.es is basically AR eBay for your face—it lets you try on glasses (and earrings and hats) on your face and bid to buy them!

December 2012
I made an experimental contest entry prototype build where you could try glasses with a paypal buy button with face tracking using Intel Perceptual Computing / OpenCV face. This and other experiments would wind up in the Intel Perceptual Computing Challenge (in which I ended up winning 3 first place prizes).
2014
I revived the concept in a party app for an events gig, where you could try out funny mustaches (and glasses) virtually.
April 2016
Created a system that lets you 3D print parts of glasses that are modular that can be snapped together. You can also preview it on your face! My old friend Xian Ke and I won the Microsoft Build Hackthon
September 2016
I dropped by Vision Expo with the live mobile demo—where users could try out glasses on their face right on their phone and share it Instagram-style. Got customers and learned a lot about the traditional glasses industry in the US and internationally.
October 2016
Added the ability to share lightboxes on the web—also entered a last minute hack to an online contest (the only one I didn't win this year).
2017 Planned
WebGL for live browser-tryon's, face analysis for continuous recommendation of glasses across a huge shape spectrum
